The Bronze Era

The Bronze Era is a tribute to the rugged beauty of Southern Utah’s vast desert landscape, drawing inspiration from Snow Canyon’s striking formations. This piece embodies the timeless connection between land and sky, blending the warmth of the canyon’s bronze tones with cosmic elements, creating a vivid visual journey through desert skies.

When I first moved to this area, the vast desert and towering red cliffs brought a sense of grounding that I hadn’t felt in a long time. There’s something about the stillness of the desert—the way the rocks have stood for centuries while the stars above seem to dance in eternal motion. That contrast became the essence of The Bronze Era.

Each brushstroke reflects both the weight of the earth and the mystery of the cosmos, mirroring the way I’ve come to feel grounded while still reaching for something greater. This painting doesn’t contain the florals or crystals that often symbolize my connection to nature, but instead, it focuses on the solid, unchanging presence of the landscape. The rich bronze and copper tones remind me of how nature ages and evolves, offering a sense of timelessness and resilience.
