Ignited Essence is a deeply personal exploration of feminine rage and the power that lies within repressed emotions. This painting is for anyone who has been told they must always be polite, sweet, and composed, denying the full range of their humanity. It’s a visual declaration that anger—raw and unfiltered—is not only valid but transformative.

This work is inspired by the fierce and untamed energy of the Goddess Pele, who embodies both destruction and creation. The rich reds and blacks reflect the intensity of lava, molten and alive, flowing with purpose yet grounded by the steady resilience of rock. Amidst this fiery landscape, roses bloom—symbolizing growth, beauty, and rebirth emerging from the very foundation of struggle and fury. Elements like freshwater pearls and small rubies (mini cut and raw), bring the feminine frequency to this painting.

This painting is an invitation to accept rage as part of femininity, not as a flaw but as a vital and sacred force. For too long, we’ve been taught that anger has no place in being feminine—that it makes us unworthy, unlovable, or out of control. But rage is just as much a part of who we are as tenderness or joy. It is the voice that speaks when we’ve been silenced, the fire that burns when we’ve been wronged, the energy that fuels change and healing.

In creating this piece, I poured my own experiences into every stroke—the times I’ve felt unheard, the moments I’ve been told to “calm down” or “be nice,” and the years I’ve spent unlearning those messages. The roses emerging from the lava remind me that embracing my anger doesn’t make me less; it makes me whole.
