“Reminiscence Falls” is a reflection of my journey into the heart of nature—the only space where I’ve ever felt a sense of safety and security. When I look at a waterfall, it’s more than just water rushing down; it’s the embodiment of strength and softness all at once, an unstoppable force that nourishes the earth as it finds its way home.

Creating this piece felt like immersing myself into that memory, the kind of memory that lingers in your soul. I wanted to evoke the sense of peace and stillness I feel when standing at the base of a waterfall—how the noise of the world quiets down as the water becomes the only sound you hear, how time stands still, and you find a piece of yourself in the movement.

Using real moss in this painting connects me back to the earth. Moss is resilient, growing quietly in the shadows and damp places, thriving in environments often overlooked. I resonate deeply with that quiet growth—how I’ve learned to thrive in my own way, despite where I’ve come from. And the quartz crystal points, nestled within the scene, symbolize clarity and healing. They are like the gems hidden within the earth, just as I’ve had to dig deep within myself to find the treasures hidden in the experiences I’ve lived through.
